Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) Restart - At the last meeting a public presentation regarding CCA was presented to the committee and community. The committee requested that the item be added for general discussion regarding a decision on whether or not to pursue a re-start of a CCA program for the city.

Commercial Flags - At the September 27, 2022, meeting, the Planning Commission discussed their concerns relative to commercial flags. As a result of that discussion, the Committee requested that the Planning Commission provide a recommended ordinance for consideration and further discussion.

Short-Term Rentals - The Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals met jointly on January 25 and February 13, 2023, to review the existing rules and regulations for Short-Term Rentals. The boards have several recommendations that they would present to the City Council for consideration.

Solid Waste Collection Program - The City Council has received feedback from various groups related to the City Solid Waste Collection program and has added this item for continued discussion; specifically, the request from Mr. Viggiani related to large families, mixed-use properties, or other properties that do not or will no longer receive City solid waste collection.

Volunteer Firefighter Tax Exemption - In December 2022, Governor Hochul signed legislation that permits any local government to provide a real property tax exemption to volunteer firefighters and volunteer ambulance workers who have served a minimum of two years. The Finance Committee approved the exemption, and a draft Local Law is attached for review.
