The Canandaigua Rotary is requesting permission to install a peace pole at the entrance to the Central. The peace pole is 40 inches high with the word “peace” reflected on the side of the pole, in four (4) different languages.
At the September 5th City Council meeting, the City Council unanimously voted down a resolution recommended by the Ordinance Committee for a temporary trial period of curbside pick-up on Lakeshore Drive requested by Fire on the Lake. After the meeting, the City Manager directed that The Greenfront Restaurant remove curbside parking signs from Niagara Street, as the arrangement had no formal approvals. Both restaurants requested to discuss curbside parking for their respective establishments.
At the September 5th City Council meeting, a straw vote was taken to approve Hotel Canandaigua’s installation of five (5) electric vehicle charging stations in the Lakefront Park parking lot. This item was added for continued discussion about changes, if any, that might be desired for parking regulations within this parking lot.
