Ontario County Landfill Closing.
36:37The County landfill will be closing in 2028. The City would like to have a plan in place for our garbage, recycling and biosolid disposal and has been awaiting decisions to be made by Ontario County. Carla Jordan, Director of the Department of Sustainability and Solid Waste for Ontario County, will be present to discuss how the County is preparing for the landfill closure in 2028.
E-bikes Ordinance.
01:15:47E-bikes/scooters have been discussed on numerous occasions in recent years. Concerns about how they are operated in the City along with some action take by other municipalities resulted in the Ordinance Committee requesting revisions be made to the City’s ordinance to address the issue. Staff has drafted an ordinance based upon these previous discussions with amendments including provisions related to riding while impaired and impoundment fees.
Stormwater Management Sediment & Erosion Control.
02:00:22The recent discussion related to tree removals have resulted in a request to consider more restrictive sediment and erosion control measures. The City recently amended its Stormwater Management code to align with the federal and state standard of one acre of land disturbance. Director of DPW, Sarah Brown, prepared a memorandum to assist City Council with this discussion and provide a City Staff recommendation.
